Jolene Malamute seated on FNA board

Fairbanks, Alaska —Jolene Malamute has accepted an open position on FNA’s Board of Directors.

Malamute was elected as an alternative board member in March 2025. She previously elected to the board in 2022 and was the board treasurer.

Malamute is originally from Galena and is the daughter of Kelly Kamper and the late George Malamute. She holds a bachelor’s degree in management from the University of Phoenix and an associate degree in process technology from the University of Alaska Fairbanks.

She is the administrative assistant at the Tanana Chiefs Conference Infrastructure Department and previously worked with the Interior Regional Housing Authority where she received Employee of the Year in 2016.

Malamute takes the seat vacated by Laura Ekada, who was accepted into a premedical program at the Elson S. Floyd College of Medicine at Washington State University.
