Overview: The mission of the women and children’s center for inner healing is to assist women, in the interest of helping themselves and their children, to undertake a recovery journey to achieve a healthy lifestyle in which cultural pride is enhanced.  The program is designed to serve substance abusing pregnant and postpartum women and their children.  FNA has SAMHSA grant (Sacred Child Project) which created five residential beds with new services to include enhancement of the current Recovery-Oriented System of Care to a Trauma-Informed System of Care, evidence-based trauma screening and treatment, and a family re-unification unit.

Specific services include:

  •  Individual Pyschotherapy
  • Group and Family Therapy
  • Mental Health Therapy/Services
  • Anger Management
  • 12 Step Work
  • Healthy parenting groups provided
  • Pre-school, infant/toddler, and school age programs available in the community

Owns/Operates Facility: Fairbanks Native Association operates the WCCIH residental treatment program on a State grant as well as a SAMHSA grant.

STATS: 07/01/2009 – 06/30/2011 – Total consumers 44 with 29 complete – 65.9% completion rate
